Find a Honeymoon Destination that's right for you
A guide for honeymoon travel
Picking a honeymoon destination is one of the most fun, exciting things you'll ever plan out. It's the first trip you'll take as a married couple and it's something you'll remember for the rest of your life, so make it count.
How do you pick the right honeymoon destination?
We understand that there are a lot of different variables that come into play when finding the right destination for your honeymoon, such as your budget and how much time you have. What we'll do is give you some things to consider in picking the right destination for you. Unless you will be working with an unlimited budget, which most people aren't, you'll need to pick the destination you'll be happy with and make sure it's within your budget.
So to get started write down a list of 5 places you've always wanted to visit that you feel you'll be able to afford, from first to last, and than compare them with your partners list. If you didn't match any destinations, still share them with each other; maybe some compromise could be made. Obviously there will be some discussion going on between this and that destination, but eventually you’ll narrow it down to a select few.
Considering Weather Conditions?
Once you’ve narrowed it down to either one or more destinations, the next thing you’ll want to consider is the weather conditions during the time you plan on visiting. Depending on the time of year you get married, there are some destinations you'll want to avoid due to weather conditions. If you had something like a tropical exotic destination in mind where you'll be spending a lot of time doing outdoor activity, you'll want to research what past weather conditions have been like for the dates you'll be visiting. There's no fun hanging out on the beach in the rain. Or if you aren’t a cold weather snow kind of person, you won’t want to visit a destination that snows during the time you’ll be visiting.
Next let’s move onto the time you have to spend on your honeymoon. If you have a week or less, you’ll probably want to avoid a far away destination, because that scrapes 2 days off your vacation right off the bat. If this is the case you may want to think more local, as in domestic travel, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. However, if you have all the time in the world, by all means, travel abroad, see the world.
Memorable and Romantic Honeymoon
Your honeymoon is what you make of it, it’s supposed to be a romantic, stress-free getaway to celebrate your marriage. By properly planning out all of the details of your wedding, from the cost, to the time you have to spend, to something like weather conditions and where you’ll stay, it all plays a huge factor in how much fun you have. So it may take a little bit of extra work, but a little work is nothing in comparison to a ruined or unpleasant honeymoon.
